I can’t find the mentioned WhatsApp channel integration in the release notes of v7.0. Do we need to do something for it to appear?

Integrating of WhatsApp channel would need development cycles both from the developers and the platform end.

This is primarily because developers could acquire access to WhatsApp Business API directly from WhatsApp or reach out to any business solution provider listed by WhatsApp on their directory.

Below is the 4 step on-boarding process for enabling WhatsApp as a channel on Kore.ai.

Step 1: WhatsApp Business registration

Please follow the below links to request for WhatsApp Business API:

WhatsApp is in a limited public preview for granting access to businesses and to go to market on WhatsApp Business API during this time, please consider using their Business Solution Provider (Infobip, Clickatell, Twilio etc). Please follow the below link to search the WA Business API provider directory:


The business solution providers should assist in having your WhatsApp business registered.

Step 2: Registering Message Templates

Message Templates are message formats for common reusable messages a business may want to send. Businesses must use Message Templates for sending notifications to customers. Please refer to below link for details on creating and sending message templates:


Developers could send free form messages of type “audio | document | image | location | system | text | video | voice”. Please refer to the below link for details on sending and receiving messages.


The business solution providers should assist you with message templates registration.

Step 3: Integrating WhatsApp Business API with Kore.ai platform

The following details are needed for integrating the WhatsApp Channel with Kore.ai platform.

  • Phone Number including country code
  • The API to which Kore.ai platform should send the messages.
  • Name of business solution provider – For referring to their technical documentation related to authorization and message templates payloads (If opted)

Kore.ai provides a webhook URL which can be configured at the business solution provider for receiving messages from users.

Step 4: Start sending and receiving messages over WhatsApp channel

Hello, WhatsApp channel don’t appears on the bots configuration channels, I must configure it using the webhook channel?
