Service node - How to identify delay in service node response and alert user in case it takes too much time?

If service node is taking time to fetch response

  • how to identify this delay and
  • then alert user in interactive way so that it doesn’t appear that bot is not responsive

Hi @nehamsheikh,
A node evaluation cannot start before its predecessor or transition to successor while evaluation is in progress (In your case, service node request).

We understand this behavior makes it difficult for the developer to configure the bot flow in providing a more human-like interaction – like providing a spacer message after few seconds of latency or entertaining other questions while a prior question processing is in progress etc

We have this requirement on our roadmap and it’s planned to release in the Q2 of 2019 depending on other priorities. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.
