We’re writing to inform you about an important update from Google regarding Google Business Messaging (GBM).
Google will be discontinuing GBM entirely on July 31, 2024. This means users will no longer be able to use GBM to connect with customers through Google Search, Maps, or any other Google entry points after this date.
What this means for Kore.ai users:
- Customers using GBM will not be able to send and receive messages from GBM
- Customers looking to use GBM as a new channel will not be able to configure this channel (Google has stopped new partner registrations from May 22nd itself)
In accordance with Google’s update, Kore.ai will also discontinue support for the Google Business Messaging channel.

- We recommend reviewing your current messaging setup and identifying any brand-managed GBM entry points that need to be removed or replaced.
