What exactly is difference between XO and UXO
Hello Ridhima,
Thank you for reaching out to Kore.ai Community.
In Kore.ai terminology, XO and UXO are not two completely different platforms—they are related, but represent different stages/evolution of the platform experience.
XO Platform
- XO (Experience Optimization) is the core Kore.ai platform used to build and manage conversational AI applications (bots/apps).
- It includes modules like:
- Automation AI (dialogs, tasks)
- Search AI
- Agent AI
- Contact Center AI
- It provides tools for designing, building, training, testing, and deploying AI assistants.
- Earlier versions (like XO v10) were more module-driven and somewhat siloed.
UXO (Unified XO / XO v11+ experience)
UXO is the next-generation unified version of the XO platform, designed to provide a seamless and integrated developer and user experience.
- UXO is essentially the new unified experience introduced in XO v11.
- It is not a separate product, but a re-architected and improved version of XO with:
- App-based approach (Bots → Apps)
- Unified platform across all modules
- Flow-based design (Flows replace events like Welcome/OnConnect)
- Centralized settings, analytics, and LLM integrations
- It brings all capabilities into a single, cohesive experience instead of separate modules.
Key Difference (in simple terms)
- XO (older versions like v10) → Modular, feature-specific experience
- UXO (XO v11 and above) → Unified, app-centric, flow-driven platform with GenAI enhancements
