While experimenting with the languages the bot can converse in, I tried changing the default language to Italian. After downloading and uploading the downloaded Italian JSON, the default language was changed. I am now not able to find the option to reverse the default language to English and remove Italian as a language.

Ideally, the “Default language” can only be set at the time of Bot creation. The default language cannot be changed to another language through settings again.
Kindly let us know how you have changed the default language.
Also currently, we do not have the provision to remove/delete a language which is enabled.
