Hi all, we have a customer that would like to know if it is possible to change bot session time out. According to the doc., Kore.ai triggers a session timeout after 15 mins of idle time to prevent unauthorized access. Customer would like to know to change 15 minutes to less.
Default 15 mins.
We do believe - bot’s default session time can’t be set lesser than 15 mins.
The bot - throughout its entire conversations always assures, the user gets minimum 15 mins to provide input.
A minimum conversation with timestamp is:
Waiting time of 15 mins is the need of a minimum single session. To prevent infinite wait time - same 15 mins becomes the maximum idle time - the default time out.

Changing the default session timing from 15 mins is possible through Build-> Configurations → Session. The minimum time can be 5 mins and maximum session time can be 336 hours.
Kindly note - Changing the Inactivity Duration will allow user to provide input within The Duration . i.e. If the time is set to 8 mins - the bot will not wait for more than 8 mins for the user input and will proactively session time out.
