Can't I just press enter on the digital form to proceed with the submission?

Many people press enter at the end when they give a digital form to customers who use it through a computer.

I would like to know how to set the form to be submitted by pressing enter when the digital form is active.

Do you mean that if you have 3 fields in the digital form -

  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Age
    On pressing enter on any field do want to submit the form? What if someone presses enter by mistake when only half or incorrect information is filled in? What is the use case for such a scenario?

what my clients want

  1. Type: Login form (employee number, name)
  • It was a space to enter the employee number and name, and when logging in on the web, I thought of entering it after completing the input with the keyboard.
  1. Type: E-mail transmission after data selection (data selection type 1, data selection type 2, e-mail to receive)
  • After selecting an option, in the case of an e-mail, it was more intuitive to enter because you had to enter it using the keyboard at the end.

I have confirmed that it does not go beyond submission even if I click submit in the state where there is a required value anyway.

Fortunately, there were other tasks, so the point was considered unimportant, so the development was completed.

However, in my opinion, from a user experience point of view, enter is more intuitive than completing a keyboard input and then clicking or touching.
